Discontinuation of chloroquine syrup (Nivaquine™)

Chloroquine sulphate syrup (Nivaquine™), used for malaria chemoprophylaxis, has been discontinued and will no longer be marketed in the UK. More information here.

Public Health England publishes Enteric Fever report 2013

Public Health England (PHE) have published their annual report summarising the epidemiology of laboratory-confirmed symptomatic cases of Salmonella Typhi (typhoid) and S. Paratyphi (paratyphoid) reported in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (EWNI) in 2013. More information here.
