Public Health England is committed to facilitating the provision of training for healthcare professionals involved in immunisation and is collaborating with colleagues in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in this work.

The National Minimum Standards for Immunisation Training and accompanying Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training were developed by an advisory group led by the Centre for Infection’s Immunisation Department as one of a range of initiatives to support the education of those undertaking immunisation delivery at a local level. The aim of these National Standards is to ensure consistency in the training provided across the country and to aid those responsible for providing training
