Discontinuation of Japanese encephalitis vaccine (JE-VAX®)

As of September 2007 Sanofi Pasteur MSD Limited will cease distribution in the UK of JE-VAX® (Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine Inactivated) produced by BIKEN in Japan. This is because BIKEN has ceased production of the vaccine. Current stocks of JE-VAX® will be depleted by September 2007.

Japanese encephalitis Green Cross Corporation vaccine, which is manufactured in Korea, will continue to be imported into the UK and distributed by MASTA.
