Launch of the UK ‘Yellow Book’
On Thursday 23 June 2010, NaTHNaC celebrated the launch of the 2010 edition of Health Information for Overseas Travel, known as the UK ‘Yellow Book’. NaTHNaC staff, colleagues and friends from the UK travel medicine community gathered at the Wellcome Collection in central London to help NaTHNaC mark this important achievement.
Professor David Hill, NaTHNaC’s Director, thanked the many people who contributed to the writing, editing and reviewing of the book. He also outlined his vision for using the Yellow Book in combination with the NaTHNaC website to provide excellence in the travel medicine consultation.
Dr Vanessa Field, first editor of the 2010 edition, thanked each member of the NaTHNaC team for their commitment, dedication and hard work.
The Health Protection Agency’s Chief Executive Justin McCracken recognised that NaTHNaC have worked hard to further the goal of travel health protection by setting standards and ensuring that health professionals have the most up-to-date resources. The launch of the UK Yellow Book marks another phase in the growth of NaTHNaC.
The Yellow Book is available to order; full details can be found on the Yellow Book webpage.
