Yellow fever Training Cascade for Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres (YFVCs)
All staff responsible for the administration of yellow fever vaccine should be appropriately trained to advise travellers when vaccine should be administered. In order to facilitate the circulation of information from staff who have attended a NaTHNaC yellow fever training seminar to the remainder of the team, a Training Cascade has been posted in the password protected YFVC area of the NaTHNaC website.
A flowchart process gives links to the key resources; including the slide sets, the World Health Organization website, the Information Pack, patient information leaflet, Frequently Asked Questions, Clinical Updates and Country Information Pages. At the end of the process staff can consolidate their knowledge by completing the post-training quiz, discussing scenarios within the YFVC and documenting completion of the process in their Personal Development Profile.
