NaTHNaC and ISTM partner to present travel medicine course
NaTHNaC and the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) are co-sponsoring a two day travel medicine course on 9 and 10 February 2007 in Liverpool; the Preparatory Course for the ISTM Certificate of Knowledge Examination (CTH® Program).
The course will review the ISTM Body of Knowledge for the Practice of Travel Medicine and as such will cover topics relevant to nurses, doctors and other health professionals who provide pre-travel advice and medical care to travellers. The course will also prepare participants for the ISTM Certificate of Knowledge Exam that leads to the ISTM CTH®. The exam will be held during the ISTM conference in Vancouver in May 2007.
Registration for the exam is not a pre-requisite for taking the course.
A course with the same curriculum will be offered on 9-11 February 2007 in the United States. It is directed by Dr. Lin Chen and will be held in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas.
Further details will be posted on the NaTHNaC and ISTM websites as soon as they are available. In the interim you are invited to register your interest in the Liverpool course by emailing NaTHNaC.
