Travel Health Nurse Advisor
An exciting opportunity exists for a nurse to work and develop within a multidisciplinary team at the National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC) based in central London.
An NMC Registered General Nurse, you will need to demonstrate relevant post basic study and possess practical experience of advising travellers or health professionals on travel health issues. You will require excellent communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
The role is diverse and challenging and will encompass many aspects of travel medicine. Working with the existing nurse advisors and within a multidisciplinary team, your role will include the development of NaTHNaC training initiatives, advising health care professionals on a telephone advice line, producing copy for publication on the NaTHNaC Website and participating in research projects. There will be the opportunity to maintain clinical skills by working in the travel clinic at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases if desired.
