NaTHNaC Website receives 1 million hits

In January 2006, the NaTHNaC Website exceeded the 1 million hit threshold. The website has seen steadily increasing usage with an eight-fold increase in the number of visits since January 2005.

Sixty-seven percent of visitors to the website were based in the UK.  However, visits originating from other countries are not uncommon with regular visits from the US, Canada, Germany and France. Some of the most popular pages on the website are the Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre search, the Traveller’s Diarrhoea information sheet, the Clinical Updates Index and the Yellow Fever information sheet. The most frequently downloaded files are the Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre Information Pack, the Avian Influenza Advice for Travellers - November 2005, the Rabies information sheet, the Insect Bite Avoidance information sheet and the NaTHNaC annual report.

As website usage increases, NaTHNaC remains committed to providing an accurate, up-to-date information service for both the health professional and traveller.
