Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres

Procedure for becoming a designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre in England, Wales and Northern Ireland

The Department of Health and the Welsh Assembly have devolved the responsibility for administering YFVCs in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to the National Travel Health Network and Centre.

An information pack (730KB PDF) on becoming a YFVC is available that contains full details of requirements for registration and an application form. In summary, the registered medical practitioner responsible for the centre will be required to ensure that:

  • The centre is designated
  • The staff are trained and competent in the safe administration and use of the yellow fever vaccine
  • Appropriate records are maintained
  • Vaccine storage is correct
  • NaTHNaC staff are granted access to the clinic or its records as required.

If you are experiencing problems dowloading the pack from this site, then please write or send an email to the Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre Administration Office.

Completed application forms should be returned to the address below. Please use the dedicated email address given below for communications relevant to administration of YFVCs.

This number should be used in any communication with NaTHNaC and must appear on the YFVC stamp used on International Certificates of Vaccination against yellow fever. Established centres will receive identification numbers in due course.

Queries regarding the application process can be made by e-mail, NaTHNaC@uclh.nhs.uk, or by telephone on 0845 155 5000 ext 5943.
