Support for British Nationals Abroad: a Guide
On 21 March 2006 the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) published a new document outlining the help they can provide to British nationals travelling overseas: “Support for British Nationals Abroad: a Guide”.
The Guide details the assistance the FCO can provide in a variety of situations, such as visiting people in hospital or prison, working to rescue victims of forced marriages abroad or issuing emergency passports to travellers who have had their documents lost or stolen. Safety advice for travellers in foreign countries is also provided.
The Guide will be published in a variety of languages and available from libraries, Citizens Advice Bureaus and community centres throughout the UK, as well as from the FCO website. See direct link:
